Besides yours, who do you think deserves "The Best Mother in the World" award?

I'd say that, beside my own mother, my mother-in-law also deserves The Best Mother in the World Award. One of the reasons I married my husband was for his sense of humor and quick wit. I can only imagine, however, how he must have been like as a smart aleck teenager growing up.
My mother-in-law is a retired nurse. Nursing is a very noble profession, and so is teaching, which is mother's profession and also the field my husband is entering. There is a shortage of both teachers and nurses in this country, so you could say that both my moms are of a dying breed.
They really broke the mold when they made my mother and my mother-in-law. They come from the generation that survived the Great Depression and World War II, the real survivors of any generation alive in this country today. My mothers knew what it meant to conserve and sacrifice, and to work hard both outside and inside their homes.
My moms are my heroes, the best mothers in the world.
Happy Mother's Day, everyone. Call your mother.
